Dr Lim Jit Ning is a currently a lecturer with the Physics Unit at Hwa Chong Institution. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from the National University of Singapore and his PhD degree in experimental High Energy Physics at Louisiana State University, USA. He joined Penn State University as a post-doctoral researcher, working in Fermilab, USA, before moving to Hamburg in Germany to work on the ZEUS experiment. Thereafter he joined McGill University as a post-doctoral fellow before returning to Singapore in 1995 where he pursued a career in the IT industry. He joined the Ministry of Education as a Physics teacher in 2004. Jit Ning was elected as a Fellow of the Institute of Physics Singapore in 2012 for his contributions to the development of Physics in Singapore.

Susanna Leong Su Jan obtained her Bachelor of Engineering in       Chemical Engineering (Class 1 Hons) and Master of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). She then obtained her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, and was awarded the Danckwerts-Pergamon Prize for the contributions made through her research thesis in protein refolding and bioprocess development. Susanna’s current research interests lie in peptide and microbial engineering using biochemical engineering tools. She is also Associate Editor of Chemical Engineering Science and serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Food and Bioproducts Engineering journal. She is currently Associate Professor and Programme Director at the Singapore Institute of Technology.

Pansy Wang obtained her Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University and currently pursuing MsC in Management of Health Industries in ESSEC Business School. She organised and managed a number of activities, including student career fair, scientific symposiums and industry/lab visits during her university time. Currently working in a famous IT MNC.

Dr. Rangaswamy Raja graduated with Ph.D. in life science from India in 1995, and completed his 3rd Masters in Bioinformatics (sponsored by Temasek Polytechnic Management) from NTU, Singapore in 2007 . He held Lecturer position and conducted research in Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences in Universiti Putra Malaysia from October, 1998 prior to his current employment as Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering, Temasek Polytechnic. His research interest includes work on stem cell and biomedical industry related research area. He has published  papers in national and international conferences. He has organised cross cultural student exchange program for Japanese students in Temasek Polytechnic for the last three years. Currently, he is engaged in enhancing students’ industry experience by constantly liaising with the biomedical companies in Singapore.

Ngoh Shwu Lan received her BEng degree and her Ph.D in Mechanical and Production Engineering, and Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in 2000 and 2007 respectively. Prior to embarking on research career, she has previously worked as a Failure Analysis Engineer in Seagate Technology International, a hard disk recording media manufacturing plant from 2000 to 2002. In 2006, she joined Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology - SIMTech (A*STAR) as a researcher. Her core research areas were on the mechanical and microstructural studies of ceramic materials, glass bonded joints and secondary interconnection for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) application. In 2011, she joined School of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, Singapore Polytechnic as a lecturer and was promoted to senior lecturer in 2015. She is currently the Course Chair of Diploma in Bioengineering at Singapore Polytechnic.

Dr. Ooi Chui Ping is an Associate Professor and the Head of ProgrammeBiomedical Engineering at the School of Science and Technology, SIM University (UniSIM), Singapore’s only privately-funded university dedicated to adult learners. She is also the Vice President of the Institute of Materials (East Asia) since 2014. Prior to joining UniSIM, Dr Ooi was an Assistant Professor at the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University. She holds a doctorate degree from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom and a MSc degree in Polymer Chemistry from University of Malaya, Malaysia.
