About BES8SM

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BES) Scientific Meeting is an annual symposium organized to provide a platform for students from junior colleges, polytechnics, undergraduates, and graduate levels to participate. Biomedical engineering is a multidisciplinary field in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology and medicine.

The BES 8th Scientific Meeting (BES 8SM) will be hosted by Nanyang Polytechnic on 17th May 2014. The scientific meeting will provide ample opportunities for students to interact with each other and also to gather feedback from academic staff and industry professionals for their biomedical engineering projects.

Outstanding technical presentations and poster presentations will be awarded with distinction and merit certificates along with cash prizes. This year, a new and separate competition, the Student’s Design Award 2014 will be introduced. The recipient of this award will get a chance to present his/her winning design at the APCMBE 2014 conference in Taiwan (Refer to information on entry and submission of designs in the “Student’s Design Award” section).

Participants who wish to participate in the presentation or poster are to submit their abstracts at the link provided in this website for review.

Date: Saturday, 17 May 2014
Time: 8:30 am to 05:00 pm
Venue: Nanyang Polytechnic, Block S, Level 3, Lecture Theatre LT-S1

We look forward to your support and to the project abstract submissions from your institutions.
